Also known as the infamous Assassins Guild, the Society of Shadows is where you go to have someone killed. They are often associated with the Velkross Mercenary Guild, and Zhakhustra’s underworld.
Strangely, the society adheres to a strict code of rules governing what is acceptable with regards to assassination attempts. For instance, the Society prohibits the killing of anyone other than the contract target, except in cases of self-defence. This is believed to prevent unnecessary collateral damage.

- Assassins of the Society pride themselves in being able to kill and escape without detection.
- The guild is actually made up of several independent regional clans that control particular areas and interests.
- Any assassin attempting to operate outside of their area must first seek permission of the local clan or chapter.
- Wealthy individuals often pay expensive deposits in order to arrange to have the price of their assassination set so high that few could possibly pay for them. This does not prevent someone from outbidding them however.
