Orbital Rotations By Initialization To Absolute Location (ORBITAL) Date

The ORBITAL system works as follows:

• Choose a point in space as the center, and then another point in space orbiting it as the position.
• Next, choose a point in time as the origin, and then another point in time as the moment.

The naming convention is as follows:

center))(position){origin->moment}ORBITAL

For instance, the ORBITAL with a center at Sol, a location at Earth, the origin as the birth of Christ, and the moment as present, be called:

Sol))(Earth){Christ->Present}ORBITAL

Note that by convention, if the moment is the present it is omitted from the descriptor. Thus this could be shorted to (Sol)Earth{Christ}ORBITAL or SECO.

Orbits and rotations are strictly ordered by their period, with longer ones on the left and shorter ones on the right. The precedence of the orbit on the other hand is signified by the parentheses. A greater orbit is divided by )) or (( while a lesser orbit is ) or ( depending on its period order. The rotation of the position is signified by (). Values are represented as fractions of the total number of cycles required for the next higher up cycle to increase. The format for the actual date is:

While the full ORBITAL can include every orbit up to and including that of the universe, the usual convention is to start from the orbits around the star, and end at the spatial origin.

So the actual SECO is:

In common parlance, an orbit of something you are orbiting is a year, while the rotation of something you are on is a day, and the orbit of something that is orbiting you is a month.

Musical Event Numeration Threshold Awareness Limit (MENTAL) Time

The MENTAL system is based on the actual threshold of awareness of separation by a perceptual system. It follows an octal progression, and is generally sentient architecture specific as well.

Often these units are prefixed with neuro- or mental-. In practice a moment is approximately 5 ms, which corresponds to the neuron firing rate and auditory fusion threshold (gap detection threshold), so the conversion goes like:
