Not to be confused with the Dissonance, the Liberators strive to free all people from the oppression of the empires. They have proclaimed a Liberation Crusade against all three of the empires, although they tend to be less concerned with overthrowing Lawful Good than with overthrowing Lawful Evil.
Though the early Liberators were a network of skilled guerrilla warriors and rebels who successfully harassed both Zhakhustra and the early Grand Itorian Empire, those days are long passed, and they have a reputation for being generally disorganized and largely unsuccessful in their efforts to cause the people to rise up against their oppressors. Many idealistic young adventurers have joined the ranks of the Liberators, only to become disillusioned later.
The leader of the Liberators is Sir Darius Lucien (CG male half-elf, marshal 3/holy liberator 6) a charismatic and famous “hero” known for claiming credit for vanquishing a myriad of evils from the world.
