The Council of Light is a secret society primarily concerned with secretly directing humanity and sentient life towards Enlightenment.  They are philosophically utilitarian and altruistic and seek to maximize the greatest good for everyone by whatever means necessary.

They are one of the two factions in the War of Consequences, the other being the Council of Darkness.

They are associated with the Allied Networks and the Aeon Vanguard.
