!!Improvised Melee or Thrown Weapon Type Damage

Sometimes melee or thrown weapons not crafted to be used in a certain way can still be used in that manner. Because such weapons are not designed for this use, any creature that uses one in combat takes a penalty on attack rolls made with that weapon and deals less damage with the weapon (see table). Such an improvised weapon scores a threat on a natural roll of 20 and deals double damage on a critical hit.

||Original Type||Improvised Type||Attack Roll Penalty||Damage Penalty||
||Slashing||Piercing||-2||1/2||
||Piercing||Slashing||-2||1/2||
||Slashing||Bludgeoning||-4||1/2||
||Piercing||Bludgeoning||-4||1/4||
||Bludgeoning||Slashing||-6||1/8||
